“To pay attention, this is our endless and proper work.” - Mary Oliver
Well hello! My name is Sarah Dover and my pronouns are she and her. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist providing individual psychotherapy for adults and adolescents. I received my Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco in 2016. I have learned and experienced profound growth (both professionally and personally) while working alongside and supporting clients in spaces filled with grief, trauma and crisis, depression and anxiety, chronic stress, and relational problems. I have worked both in a clinic setting and within the community.
My approach is an integrative blend of psychodynamic, interpersonal, narrative, and cognitive-behavioral theories and techniques. I aim to create a warm, compassionate, and inclusive space where you can gain insight, build upon your strengths while deepening your knowledge of your challenges, and learn new facets of yourself that will help create positive and lasting change. Together, we’ll welcome all emotions to exist safely and without judgement. Together, we’ll work to seek balance and restore peace. I recognize the amount of trust and courage it takes to step into this emotional work and feel incredibly honored to be a part of your journey.
